power up

Between Evie's supposed bedtime and her actual bedtime last night, I found myself half-watching one of those oh-so-average films that allow your brain to drift. It droned along making no impression until one of the characters - let's call him Mentor A - said to his young charge:
Don't hide the truth of who you are. That truth is your superpower.
Or words very close to that.

And with that, the scattered thoughts I've been attempting to herd (failing quite spectacularly), slowly stopped running about and all faced in the same direction.

It was interesting. I'd lost my blogging mojo completely. Maybe it's been the darker days and my annual call to hibernation. But time spent with my circle; decisions made about work commitments and a single line from a B movie has lit a path forward. A nice, gentle one with no 'drive faster' signs or steep hills.

So...yeah...I'll be back here soon.

Fox by Pen. On two days of our visit this beautiful girl came and sat outside our window. Prolonged eye contact with a fox does great things for a person.

  1. Indeed, there's something very arresting and quietening about eye contact with a fox. Glad your mojo's returning, I hope mine does soon too. Clearly, I need to find and spend time with my circle and find a fox.
